I'm glad I had a chance to make new friends, both people and ball-jointed dolls, during one of their doll meets last 2012. It first felt a little eerie, seeing several little life-like dolls, but getting to know their owners and their stories made it more interesting. I noticed how every doll was unique from their facial details and expressions, height, country of origin and make, and, of course, their hair and clothes. You could see how every doll reflected their owner's personality and taste as well. I couldn't help thinking how engrossed I will be during photo shoots with these beautiful dolls as my models. I hope to find out the names of each doll in this album and their owners.

Thank you to Paolo Reyes, Ysabel Nazal and their friends, and members of Manika Manila for being so kind and hospitable. ~mcl
